Is there a shop on site?

There is no shop on site. Whithorn, 2 miles away, has grocery stores, a small supermarket, bank, post office, chemist, newsagent, electrical and hardware shops, and public houses. Ferry Fish calls on a Tuesday selling a variety of fish and shellfish.

Is there a public bus service?

The Local buses operate a ‘wave me down’ service, and picks up and drops off at the park entrance. Timetables are available at park reception.

Do you offer an ice pack freezing service?

Yes we do. Ice packs can be left for freezing or exchanged on a daily basis. This service if offered free of charge.

Do you have holiday homes/static caravans for hire?

Sorry, we do not. All the holiday homes are privately owned. We do accept touring units, motorhomes and tents.

Can payment be made by credit/debit card?

We do not have facilities to take card payments. Payment in cash (£ sterling) and cheques supported by a valid cheque guarantee card are accepted.

I want to sell my house and live in a caravan, can I do this at Castlewigg?

No. Castlewigg is a licensed holiday park, and as such residential status is not permitted.

Are you open all year?

The opening times are 1st March to 31st October for touring, camping and seasonal touring. Private holiday home owners have an extended season of 1st March to 7th January.
